Responsibilities
- Thorough expertise in compliance and consulting for investment partnerships (hedge funds and private equity funds)
- Analyzing structuring of funds and fund management companies to limit tax liability;
- Creating alternate investment strategies and vehicles and/or partnership structures and communicating their impact to clients
- Demonstrating thorough knowledge including partnership tax Forms;
- Building, maintaining, and utilizing networks of client relationships and community involvement;
- Communicating value propositions and selling the practice.
- Managing budgets, billing and collections
- Supervising and training team members
Experience
- 6-8 years prior experience working in the tax department of a public accounting firm, with a significant portion of the time within the financial services practices area.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- CPA is a must
- MS in Taxation a+
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to work effectively with all levels of staff, both independently and as part of a team.
